THE KEY TO THE KINGDOM!

Mark 4:13-14 "He said to them, "Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand any of the parables? The sower sews the word"

Jesus is telling us that we need to take time and genuinely reflect on the meaning and content of this parable, because it holds the key to understanding how the Kingdom of God functions. In verse 11 He tells us, "You are permitted to understand the secret (mystery or hidden truths) about the Kingdom of God, " and He proceeds to tell us exactly what the "secret" is.

The "secret about the Kingdom of God..." is the Word of God and how it operates.

He then proceeds to tell us certain facts concerning the Word of God...These you need to know and become familiar with.

1) vs 15..."Satan comes immediately to take away the word sewn in your heart..." Whenever you discover a new truth in the Word of God you can always expect an attack. I remember when I first got saved, within a few weeks, I was questioning in my mind my own salvation experience, because I continued to walk in many of my sinful ways. (I have since learned about the constant battle with the flesh as told in Romans 7.) The enemy even sent one "Christian" to me who proceeded to tell me that he hadn't sinned since he got saved,(Liar) and my salvation experience got very shaky!

When you begin to discover the truths concerning finances, healing, sewing and reaping, etc., you should learn to expect an attack. Don't be surprised when it happens. The Word has forewarned us concerning the attack. Most of the time, it will get worse before it gets better. Be prepared. Launch a preemptive strike. Don't gather yourself into the defensive mode of operation. Get offensive. Swing your Sword of the Spirit(The Word of God)! Search after any and all truths concerning the revelation you've received. Read them out loud. Memorize them. Reflect on them! Speak them in the midst of your situation!

You see, the enemy knows the easiest way to kill a giant oak tree! You should learn this Spiritual principle as well.

KILL IT & CRUSH IT WHILE ITS STILL AN ACORN! He comes immediately when the Word is first sewn into your heart and tries to kill and crush the Word, before it takes root!

2Corinthians 10:5 "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; "

Protect the Truth you have discovered knowing that the "Truth shall make you free!" John 8:32

2) The second truth we discover concerning the Word of God is that since we don't take matters seriously, we'll initially believe the Word of God. However, as soon as the first and least bit of trouble arises, or the first symptom appears to contradict the Truth you've learned, we fall apart and depart from the belief!

Mark 4:16 "And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution arises for the word's sake, immediately they are offended. "

We waiver back and forth between the symptoms and the Truth. One moment we are giant killers and the next we're waivering, "like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. Let not that man suppose he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double minded man, unstable in all his ways." James 1:6-8

Abrahan did not waiver. Romans 4:19 "And being not weak in faith, he did not consider his own body now dead, when he was about a hundred years old, nor did he consider the deadness of Sara's womb. He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what God had promised, he was able also to perform." At the ripe old age of 100, with a wife whose womb had died up, they had a baby boy, which had been promised some twenty five years prior.

There were troubles for Abraham between the promise and its fulfillment, however He knew that what God had promised, He would bring to pass! It took a period of time to be developed in the faith! Through relational experiences and hearing the Word of God, Abraham became grounded and rooted in God's Word. James states it this way. James 1:2 "My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith works patience (or endurance.) ...let patience have her perfect work, that you may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing..."

In verse 16 He tells us that "...affliction or persecution arises for the Word's sake..." When God's Word becomes alive in your life and it becomes your main life source(Matthew 4:4) you will be targeted. So what! Everyone in this world is under pressure, stress, and conflict of every sort because of our fallen sin nature. Jesus addressed this issue in John 6:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me you might have peace. In the world you will have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."

Psalm 34:19 "Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivers him out of them all."

The good news is this: Jesus has overcome the fallen world of sin and death (Revelation 1:18), and He will deliver us through them all! You ought to begin to praise God in the midst of your trouble. Increased tribulation and trouble are signs to the believer that we are getting dangerous to the enemy and his minions.

Ac 16:25 "And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed. What Paul and Silas were proclaiming was "We have proclaimed the Word of God which gives Life; the enemy has taken his best shot and failed!"

God says "Call on me in times of trouble: I will deliver you, and you will glorify me.." Psalm 50:15

A) This parable is the Key to understanding the Kingdom of God.
B) When you learn a truth from His Word, your enemy will attempt immediately to destroy that truth.
C) Symptoms will appear to shake your initial belief, and if you're not deeply rooted in the Truth of His Word, you are very likely to stumble.
D) When you begin to live by the Word of God, you become targeted for failure. God will deliver you and glorify His Name.

We'll continue next Monday... get these truths in your heart and pass the Website on to someone who needs to hear the truth!
