SOUL WINNING ON YOUR KNEES!

Ac 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

God has promised in His Word salvation for our households based on our belief and trust in His ability coupled with targeted prayer for those under our covering.

Some believers will immediately argue that they don't believe that this is possible, but if we take a brief look at some of the Old Testament illustrations of household salvation, we are able to see that there is a pattern that is consistent with household salvation as indicated in Acts 16:31.

Everyone who is saved must make their own decision for Christ; accept His work at Calvary and invite Him to establish His Lordship in their own individual lives. Romans 10:9-10 "...if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." However today's Scripture and several Old Testament examples lead us to believe that God will exercise sufficient influence, in whatever way He choses to win their hearts.

We are told that Noah was able to bring in his unbelieving family into the safety of the ark. Lot brought his family out of Sodom and Gomorrah because of Abraham's belief in the promises and deliverance of God. Rahab was also able to save her entire household from the total annihillation imposed upon Jericho by the Israelite nation. In the same way in Acts 16:31 we are told that God will save our household based upon our own belief in His ability!

Let me share with you a Kingdom secret concerning the way that God works His influence upon peoples lives. Oftentimes He will work through situations and circumstances in our lives, but His way of choice is to influence hearts. God doesn't force our minds or our lives to accept Him but He can and does exert His influence upon our hearts. Proverbs 21:1 states that "The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, and like a river: he turns it wherever He wills." Jeremiah 24:7 confirms this fact... "...I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart." The Word tells us that God is going to give our loved ones hearts to know Him and that He will turn their hearts toward Himself.

This is where prayer for our loved ones comes into play...

1) PROVERBS 21:1 Pray that The Lord will fill your Heart with a passion for the Lost!

2) ACTS 1:8 Pray for a continuous infilling of the Holy Spirit in your own Life; that He will make you a Powerful and Bold Witness for Jesus.

3) JOHN 16:13 Ask the Holy Spirit for a Target List!

4) JEREMIAH 24:7 Ask the Lord to give them a Heart to Know Him, to return to Him.

5) ROMANS 10:1 Pray that they will be Saved...Made Whole!

6) EPHESIANS 6:18 Use The Sword of the Spirit, Praying IN HIM...Ask Him what to Pray specifically.

7) EPHESIANS 1:16-19 Pray...
a) That the Lord will give them His Spirit of Revelation & Knowledge of Him.
b) That He will open the eyes of their understanding.
c) That they will know the Hope of His Calling.
d) That they will know the Riches of His Inheritance.
e) That they will know the exceeding greatness of His Power toward us.

8) MATTHEW 18:18 Dissolve evil influences in their lives...Bind them!

9) 2 CORINTHIANS 4:4 Ask the Lord to let the Light of His Word pierce their blinded minds.

10) MATTHEW 13:19 Ask the Lord to keep evil from stealing the Word sewn in their hearts.

11) MATTHEW 9:37-38 Ask the Lord to send other Believers to cross their paths.

12) 2 THESSALONIANS 3:1 Pray that the Word of God will run it’s course.

13) ROMANS 8:26 Pray in tongues.

Lu 19:10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
