FAITH FOR HEALING!
Do you know that you can not exercise your faith if you are undecided as to whether or not it is God’s will to heal you!
The Bible says that there is a way that we can know that God hears our Prayer. 1John 5:14 “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that if we ask any thing according to his will, he hears us…” If God “hears” our prayer, then we know that we have what we’ve prayed for. 1 John 5:15 “And if we know that he hear us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”
In James 5 we are told to call for the elders of the Church when we’re sick James 5:15 “And the prayer of faith shall save (heal, make whole) the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up…”
How can anyone pray the “prayer of faith” unless we know what God’s will is? Some will say “I wonder if God wills to heal this one?” Most of you reading this blog often say the same thing! “Perhaps this is one of those God has chosen to remain sick and suffer.” How can you pray for anyone concerning healing if you don’t know God’s will? If you’re not so sure that God wants you healed, or perhaps He is willing that you suffer a while, then why do you go to the doctor to try and get better? Don’t you want God’s Will?
God said “I am the Lord who heals you.” Exodus 15:26 If God said this and He cannot lie, He meant exactly what He said. Read the Gospels and watch as Jesus manifests the perfect will of the Father while healing everyone who came to Him for healing. The only place He “could not” heal (Mark 6) was in His own hometown where the people throttled the healing hands of God by their “unbelief.”
Meanwhile we keep waiting for some special revelation from God concerning His will in our own case. We continue to do everything in our own power to get well utilizing doctors and not even considering that we may be opposing the will of God!
The Bible is a written revelation of the will of God concerning healing. Are you still waiting for a special revelation about the surety of your salvation? Of course not! You discovered what the Bible had to say concerning the “free gift of God” and believed it with your heart and confessed Jesus as Lord with your mouth and you were “born again.” Is it any different for receiving anything else from God? Is it any different to receive Healing from God’s Word?
In Romans 10:10 we receive the formula for receiving from God. “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” In this particular context the Bible is speaking about SALVATION.
At one time in your life, you believed that God raised Jesus from death on the cross to pay the price for your sins and you invited His Lordship over your life. He then became your Lord and Savior through the belief of your heart and the confession of your mouth. Romans 10:9 “…if thou will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and will believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, thou will be saved.”
The word “SALVATION” as listed above in Romans 10:10 does not just mean eternal life. It is the Greek word “soteria” which literally means to be made whole, to rescue or to save(physically or morally), to deliver, to heal, safety soundness, deliverance and protection.
When the Jew or the Greek of Jesus’ day heard the word “soteria or it’s derative “sozo” as in Acts 16:31 “…Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou will be saved (sozo)…”, what they heard is “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved eternally; healed or made whole spirit, soul and body; delivered from any type of bondage or hurt; and made safe and protected from all harm.”
We don’t have a word in the English language that encompasses all of the meaning in those two Greek Words. The words “sozo” and “soteria” are translated throughout the bible as, saved, healed, delivered and made whole!
Let me close today with this portion of Scripture. John 3:14-17 “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be SAVED (SOZO)”
You constantly repeat John 3:16 to unbelievers, but you don’t really understand what you’re saying at all. Why did Jesus tie in the “serpent in the wilderness with this key salvation passage? In Numbers 21:8-9 we discover the answer. “And the LORD said to Moses, Make a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it will come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looks upon it, shall live. And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.”
These people were sick and in need of healing, facing certain death because they had sinned against God. When they looked upon the serpent (sin hanging on a pole) (a type or example of the Christ to comewho was made to be sin for us on the cross) and believed God, they were healed and escaped the jaws of sin, sickness and death.
In John 3:14-17 listed above. Jesus says that “anyone” or “whosoever” looks at the payment for sin upon the pole(cross), will be “sozo-ed” or will be saved eternally; healed or made whole spirit, soul and body; delivered from any type of bondage or hurt; and made safe and protected from all harm.”
So look today at Jesus (made to be your substitute) hanging on the cross. “For you are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which both belong to God.” 1 Corinthians 6:20.
He purchased the whole, complete, entire package! It’s wholeness He purchased…Spirit, Soul & Body! Believe with your heart that He Made you SOZO…WHOLE and confess it with your mouth! Watch God work!

THE KEY TO THE KINGDOM: PART 2
Mark 4:13-14 "He said to them, "Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand any of the parables? The sower sews the word"
Last week we saw that Jesus was telling us that we need to take time and genuinely reflect on the meaning and content of this parable, because it holds the key to understanding how the Kingdom of God functions. In verse 11 He tells us, "You are permitted to understand the secret (mystery or hidden truths) about the Kingdom of God, " and He proceeds to tell us exactly what the "secret" is.
The "secret about the Kingdom of God..." is the Word of God and how it operates. In Matthew 7:24-27, Jesus also tells us that the Key to surviving the Storms of this world and the life we live is to discover and apply the Principles of God’s Word! Read these following Scriptures very carefully concerning the Word of God!
Psalm 138:2 I will worship toward your holy temple, and praise your name for your lovingkindness and for your truth: for you have magnified your word above your name.
Jeremiah 1:12 Then said the LORD to me, you have well seen: for I will hasten (Watch Over) my word to perform it.
Isaiah 55:11 So will my word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it will not return unto me void, but it will accomplish that which I please, and it will prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
Revelation 3:8 I know your works: behold, I have set before you an open door, and no man can shut it: for you have a little strength, and have kept my word, and have not denied my name.
Everything God does, He initiates with His spoken Word! Anything that God desires, He brings it into existence by speaking out His heart’s desire! Romans 4:17 declares that “God…quickens the dead, and calls those things which are not as though they were..”
THE KEYS TO THE WORD OF GOD:
1) In Mark 4:15 we discovered that whenever you discover a new truth in the Word of God you can always expect an attack. When you begin to discover the truths concerning finances, healing, sewing and reaping, etc., you should learn to expect an attack. Don't be surprised when it happens. The Word has forewarned us concerning the attack. Most of the time, it will get worse before it gets better. Be prepared. Launch a preemptive strike. Don't gather yourself into the defensive mode of operation. Get offensive. Swing your Sword of the Spirit (The Word of God)! Search after any and all truths concerning the revelation you've received. Read them out loud. Memorize them. Reflect on them! Speak them in the midst of your situation!
2) The second truth we discovered in verse 16 was if we don't take matters seriously, we'll initially believe the Word of God. However, as soon as the first and least bit of trouble arises, or the first symptom appears to contradict the Truth you've learned, we fall apart and depart from the belief! We waiver back and forth between the symptoms and the Truth. One moment we are giant killers and the next we're waivering. We also learned that when God's Word becomes alive in your life and it becomes your main life source (Matthew 4:4) you will be targeted. The good news is this: Jesus has overcome the fallen world of sin and death (Revelation 1:18), and He will deliver us through them all! You ought to begin to praise God in the midst of your trouble. Increased tribulation and trouble are signs to the believer that we are getting dangerous to the enemy and his minions.
3)The third Key to the Kingdom is contained in verses 18 & 19 “…these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, and the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.” The Word of God is thwarted in the bearing of fruit in our lives by our concerns, thoughts, desires and actions.
Let me give you an example. Most Christians believe that if God truly wanted something to happen, it would happen because of His Sovereignty. (God can do whatever He wills!) Didn’t God out of His love for the world, send His Son Jesus to die for all? John 3:16 states the answer. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes (adheres to, clings to, trusts in, and relies on) him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” The sad news is that even though His provision has been made available to all, some will not accept His provision. “…he that does not believe is condemned already…” John 3:18. Some of the great men and women of faith listed in Hebrews 11 also went through a variety of trials. Hebrews 11:35 “…Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance…”
We have the ability to “choke the word” so “it becomes unfruitful.” WOW! How?
A)The cares of this world.
This word literally means “a divided mind” caused by distractions, anxieties, burdens and worries. The greek word merimna means to be anxious beforehand about daily life. Such worry is unnecessary because the father’s love provides for our daily needs as well as our special problems and situations. We are told in 1Peter 5:7 to “Cast all your care upon Him; for He cares for you.”
If you remain anxious and unsettled in the daily affairs of life, you will choke the Word of God and hinder it’s life giving, life altering power. Remember, there is enough power contained in every promise of God to bring that Promise to pass! Only believe. Mark 9:23 “Jesus said to him, If thou can believe, all things are possible…”
B) The deceitfulness of riches.
Life is short! Everyday we read in the news about deaths, sometimes thousands at once. Proverb 27:1 warns, "Boast not yourself of tomorrow; for you do not know what a day may bring forth." Today may be the last day of your life.
Oh the deceitfulness of riches! So many people today are consumed with making more money. Sadly, this includes many believers. What are you doing for God? It's been said: " 'This one life will soon be past, only what's done for Christ will last." What will it matter 10,000 years from now how much money you made in this lifetime? It won't! All that will matter 10,000 years from now is:
- Whether you "died in the Lord" (Revelation 14:13); or "died in your sins" (John 8:24).
- As a believer, what you did in this life for the name of Jesus Christ and for the Gospel (Mark 10:29,30).
There is no greater deception in this world than financial security. Most rich people are going to Hell (Luke 18:25). The rich already have heaven on earth, so they don't need God (so they think). They are DECEIVED! Nothing has destroyed more lives, friendships, marriages and churches faster than the love of money. The love of money is a road to Hell.
The greatest things in life aren't things. All the money in the world cannot buy peace of heart and mind, cannot buy forgiveness of sins, and cannot buy a happy home. In 1st Timothy 6:9-10, the Bible reveals the dark truth about where the path to earthly riches often leads...
"But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows."
Temptation... a snare... hurtful lusts... erred from the faith??? A book could be written addressing the evils surrounding the pursuit of wealth.
C) Desires (Lusts) for other things.
A lust or the desire spoken of in this verse is a strong desire for someone or something, energized by uncontrollable wants that one intends to satisfy at any cost! It can also be an uncontrollable longing for what is forbidden. There is only one thing we are commanded to desire in this life. Mark 12:30 “…you will love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all you mind, and with all your strength: this is the first commandment.” What more do we need to say?
If your heart however, begins to pursue anything else, you have broken the first commandment of God and have “Choked” the ability of God’s Word in your life and His promises can not come to pass on your behalf!
This is the kind of Word today that initially can be somewhat painful, but in the end can produce and abundance of the riches and treasures that God has in store for us. This week I want you to practice the following…
1) Refuse to worry. When worry approaches your mind, begin to sing praises to God, read His Word or begin to Pray!
2) Turn your finances to the Kingdom of God. Stop running the rat race and invest in His Kingdom. I believe that God will be testing us in this area very soon. His question is “What are you willing to give?”
3) Ask God what has taken His rightful place in your life. Then ask Him for a plan to destroy that “idol.” Now begin to pursue Him. Talk with him. Read His Word. Learn of Him with others.
Next week: The Key to the Kingdom: 30-60 or 100…It’s your choice!

Healing & The Law of the Spirit of Life; Part 2
I have a print of this "Laughing Jesus" hanging in my office. I oftentimes wonder what He is laughing about. I don't think He's making fun of someone or taking part in an off color joke. I believe that He has just observed someone breaking free from the Law of sin and death. Somebody just got healed or delivered. I believe that this is a laugh of great joy.
I don't believe that there is anything more fun than to watch someone who is lost, sick, hurting, diseased, bruised or broken grabbing on to the Word of God and having life and blessing flow into their lives. I want you to take a brief moment and go back to the Website and re-read the Part 1 of Healing and the Law of the Spirit of Life. Remember that Laws, whether physical or Spiritual, will work for anyone who applies them. Laws are consistent and constant and since God is "no respecter of persons." Acts 10:34, His laws will work for anyone who discovers and applies them!
According to the leading Scripture today, Living and Dying is our choice. You made a decision for Salvation and now its time to make a choice for healing. The decision for healing is your's not His! He has already made His decision. Look at this brief synopsis of the Ministry of Jesus as described in Acts 10:38. "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him."
David, a man who was able to capture the very heartbeat of God also declared by the Spirit of God..."Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgives all my iniquities; who heals all my diseases;" Psalm 103:2-3
God's Healing Power does not come on the body. In Proverbs 4:20-23 we are told the following:
1) Discover the Word (Promises) of God.
2) Keep focused on the Word of God alone.
3) Get them deep in your spirit (heart).
4) The Word of God will bring life and health to ALL who discover the truth.
5) Work at protecting and growing the Word in your Spirit (heart).
6) Out of your Spirit flow the issues (forces, outpourings) of Life!
The life force of God, which makes healing available to "all who were oppressed of the devil," flows out of your spirit man. The process is like this. As we discover truths contained in the Word of God, they begin to take root in our hearts. The more we feed on the Word of God and spend time in His presence, delighting in Him, the more that Word causes the "issues of life" to flow out of our spirit and surface in our flesh; our physical being.
Here's what the Bible says in the Gospel of Mark 4:26-29 "...the kingdom of God, is like a man casts seed into the ground...And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed will spring and grow up, he does not know how. For the earth brings forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. But when the fruit is ready, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come."
God's Word is planted in the ground of our hearts or spirits (Which have been regenerated in the image and likeness of God) and the combination of God's Word and a regenerated spirit produces fruit! That's the way it works in God's Kingdom! "Well, I thought..." It really doesn't matter what you think...God's way is to plant the seed of His Word in your heart. Feed it and watch His Word issue forth healing in your sick or diseased body!
God does not reach out to the symptom. He goes right to the source; your spirit man. Look at the ministry style Jesus employed.
Mt 4:23 "And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people."
Mt 9:35 "And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people."
Very simply, He taught them the Law of the Spirit of Life. He taught. He preached. He healed "all manner of sickness and all manner of disease" and "EVERY sickness and disease among the people."
1) He taught them concerning the laws of faith. Things like trusting God, and the importance of feeding on His Word; the confession of our mouths; faith without corresponding actions is dead; and keeping our eyes on the promises instead of the circumstances. He also taught them of the kind of environment necessary to cultivate and promote the growth of healing seeds.
IF YOU DON'T GET ANYTHING OUT OF THIS TEACHING BUT ONE...YOU NEED TO CAPTURE THIS... The Lord spoke this to me last week...loud and clear!
Faith Seeds, Kingdom Seeds or Healing Seeds only operate and grow in an environment that is an Obedient, Forgiving, Connected and Loving relationship with God and with each other.
Hebrews 10:38 "Now the just shall live by faith..."
2) He preached... "The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand...among you...here right now, today!" He boldly proclaimed that the power of God was here and now, ready, willing, and able to heal. He stirred up hope in His bold proclamations. You saw last week that in Luke 5, the "power of the Lord was present top heal them," even those who didn't deserve it. It was there for them too!
3) After he taught and preached...He healed!
Dive into the Word of God today! Jesus said that Man lives by "every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God." Matthew 4:4 He said that "if we've seen Him, we've seen the Father." John 14:9 Watch the character of God in action as you read and meditate on the Gospels. Jesus didn't turn anyone down, except in Mark Chapter 6, when unbelief was overwhelming the atmosphere and literally binding the healing hand of God from moving on the sick!
Listen to what He teaches and what He says! Watch as He heals! Then reach out for Him and protect His Word as it sprouts and grows in your spirit man. "It will grow!"

SALVATION SURVEY!
Romans 1: 5 NLT " Through Christ God has given us the privilege and authority to tell Gentiles everywhere what God has done for them, so that they will believe and obey Him, bringing glory to His name."
As I was reading Romans this morning, I stumbled upon this nugget from the New Living Translation and I believe I heard Him say to develop a blog today that others could interact with. I would appreciate it if each of you would take a few minutes and go to the bottom of this post and click on the comment button. Then I would like for you to write up a brief summary of what Jesus the Christ has done for you in your life.
It can be as brief as a couple of lines, or a little longer. When those who don't know Jesus visit the Website, they'll be able to read for themselves the testimonies of those whose lives have been changed. I believe that you have a testimony that someone needs to hear today.
When you have finished writing your testimony simply click the "publish your comment." button and it will be added to the Website within a short period of time. If you wish to remain anonymous click the button that states the same.
Just like the disciples pictured above, we have a story to tell those who are perishing. Jesus can rescue them from the stormy seas of life; but first, they must invite Him into the boat!
I look forward to your participation!

THE KEY TO THE KINGDOM!
Mark 4:13-14 "He said to them, "Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand any of the parables? The sower sews the word"
Jesus is telling us that we need to take time and genuinely reflect on the meaning and content of this parable, because it holds the key to understanding how the Kingdom of God functions. In verse 11 He tells us, "You are permitted to understand the secret (mystery or hidden truths) about the Kingdom of God, " and He proceeds to tell us exactly what the "secret" is.
The "secret about the Kingdom of God..." is the Word of God and how it operates.
He then proceeds to tell us certain facts concerning the Word of God...These you need to know and become familiar with.
1) vs 15..."Satan comes immediately to take away the word sewn in your heart..." Whenever you discover a new truth in the Word of God you can always expect an attack. I remember when I first got saved, within a few weeks, I was questioning in my mind my own salvation experience, because I continued to walk in many of my sinful ways. (I have since learned about the constant battle with the flesh as told in Romans 7.) The enemy even sent one "Christian" to me who proceeded to tell me that he hadn't sinned since he got saved,(Liar) and my salvation experience got very shaky!
Swing your Sword of the Spirit(The Word of God)! Search after any and all truths concerning the revelation you've received. Read them out loud. Memorize them. Reflect on them! Speak them in the midst of your situation!
You see, the enemy knows the easiest way to kill a giant oak tree! You should learn this Spiritual principle as well.
KILL IT & CRUSH IT WHILE ITS STILL AN ACORN! He comes immediately when the Word is first sewn into your heart and tries to kill and crush the Word, before it takes root!
2Corinthians 10:5 "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; "
Protect the Truth you have discovered knowing that the "Truth shall make you free!" John 8:32
2) The second truth we discover concerning the Word of God is that since we don't take matters seriously, we'll initially believe the Word of God. However, as soon as the first and least bit of trouble arises, or the first symptom appears to contradict the Truth you've learned, we fall apart and depart from the belief!
Mark 4:16 "And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution arises for the word's sake, immediately they are offended. "
We waiver back and forth between the symptoms and the Truth. One moment we are giant killers and the next we're waivering, "like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. Let not that man suppose he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double minded man, unstable in all his ways." James 1:6-8
Abrahan did not waiver. Romans 4:19 "And being not weak in faith, he did not consider his own body now dead, when he was about a hundred years old, nor did he consider the deadness of Sara's womb. He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what God had promised, he was able also to perform." At the ripe old age of 100, with a wife whose womb had died up, they had a baby boy, which had been promised some twenty five years prior.
There were troubles for Abraham between the promise and its fulfillment, however He knew that what God had promised, He would bring to pass! It took a period of time to be developed in the faith! Through relational experiences and hearing the Word of God, Abraham became grounded and rooted in God's Word. James states it this way. James 1:2 "My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith works patience (or endurance.) ...let patience have her perfect work, that you may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing..."
In verse 16 He tells us that "...affliction or persecution arises for the Word's sake..." When God's Word becomes alive in your life and it becomes your main life source(Matthew 4:4) you will be targeted. So what! Everyone in this world is under pressure, stress, and conflict of every sort because of our fallen sin nature. Jesus addressed this issue in John 6:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me you might have peace. In the world you will have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."
Psalm 34:19 "Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivers him out of them all."
Ac 16:25 "And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed. What Paul and Silas were proclaiming was "We have proclaimed the Word of God which gives Life; the enemy has taken his best shot and failed!"
God says "Call on me in times of trouble: I will deliver you, and you will glorify me.." Psalm 50:15
A) This parable is the Key to understanding the Kingdom of God.
B) When you learn a truth from His Word, your enemy will attempt immediately to destroy that truth.
C) Symptoms will appear to shake your initial belief, and if you're not deeply rooted in the Truth of His Word, you are very likely to stumble.
D) When you begin to live by the Word of God, you become targeted for failure. God will deliver you and glorify His Name.
We'll continue next Monday... get these truths in your heart and pass the Website on to someone who needs to hear the truth!

HEALING & THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE!
Proverbs 4: 20 "...my words...keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are(flow) the issues (forces) of life."
The healing power of God is a Spiritual FORCE. It is the very Life Force of God Himself. Divine Healing is an administration of the very Life Forces of God as He moves in mercy and Love toward the "apple of His eye." (Dt 32:10) It is known by different name tags such as anointing, virtue and healing power. This Spiritual Force of healing is used to sum up the entire earthly ministry of Jesus. Acts 10:38 "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil..."
Mark 5:30 "And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?"
Luke 6:19 "And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all."
Luke 8:46 "And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me."
Healing is not something that God does for one reason or another and no one can figure it out. Healing is a matter of Biblical Science and is directly related to the "Law of the Spirit of Life" which is found in Christ Jesus! Romans 8:2 "For the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death."
People did not know that the Laws of this earth were consistent and constant in their application (Much less the Laws of the Spirit of Life). Laws such as the law of Gravity, Pythagorean Theorem, Law of Lift, Joule's Law, Einstein's Theory of Relativity, etc.. (Try Googleing Scientific laws...it's wild!) All of these Laws in God's magnificent creation have been proven to be consistent and constant. In other words, they have proven to always come to pass. How much more will the Law of the Spirit of Life always come to pass when it's applications are implemented. God's Spiritual Laws are as consistent and constant as His natural laws.
Do you know that a 747 Airplane would have flown just as well in the 1600s as it would fly today. The problem was no one knew how to build one and it took time to figure out the laws. When the Boeing 707 was originally commissioned to fly, the Chinese took one and made an exact replica. The only problem was that they could not get it off the ground to fly. They did not understand the application of the laws that were necessary to fly a plane of those proportions. Read this next sentance very carefully...
Religious people would say "I guess it was not God's will for the Chinese people to fly!"
The problem with the Chinese was a Lack of Knowlege or a mis-application of the Law of Lift. The Law of Gravity prevailed. Listen what the Manufacturer's Handbook says concerning the same lack of knowlege of His Spiritual Laws. Hosea 4: 6 "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge..." Why do God's people perish? It is because we have a lack of knowlege of Spiritual Law, especially the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus.
This law "has made me free from the law of sin and death." Since sickness and disease is a result of the Law of sin and death, (Sickness & Disease did not exist until after Adam's fall.) let's take a good hard look at the Law of the Spirit of Life and discover the constants that cause the law to work in our lives. Then we can put them into effect in our lives and experience the wholeness that God desires.
The problem in receiving healing from God is not a lack of the Will of God to heal! The problem lies in our misunderstanding of what His Word has to say. Do you think that its coincidence that everywhere Jesus healed, He first taught the people! I believe that He taught them concerning the immutable and unchangeable Laws of God. The entire Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5 is a teaching on the laws of God. If you want to be filled he said You must "hunger and thirst for righteousness..."(vs.6). If you want mercy "be merciful." (Vs.7)
The principles of receiving from the Law of the Spirit of Life will work for "whosover" discovers and applies these principles. It doesn't matter if you're Lutheran, Pentecostal or Catholic; black, white, yellow or red; tall, short, skinny or fat! Divine healing is governed by the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus. His Laws are exact, whether they be Natural or Spiritual law! We believe easily enough in the natural laws and its time to begin to dive into the Spiritual Laws and prove to all that they are TRUTH!
Let me leave you with a final example that blows my mind away every time I read it in God's Word! It's found in the following verses from Luke 5: 17 "And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, (HE WAS TEACHING THE PRINCIPLES OF THE KINGDOM) that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem:(THE RELIGIOUS WHO'S WHO WERE IN THE HOUSE) and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.
These people weren't there to get healed. They were there to trip Jesus up and catch him in something they could prosecute Him with! It didn't matter what anyone's motivations were, or what their religious backgrounds were, or what town they were from! THE POWER OF THE LORD WAS PRESENT TO HEAL THEM!
In a future blog we'll talk about why they didn't get healed. But you need to read the rest of the story below and see why only one person received from God, even though the Power of God was present for all!
"18 And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy: and they sought means to bring him in, and to lay him before him. And when they could not find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon the housetop, and let him down through the tiling with his couch into the midst before Jesus. And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee. And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this which speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone? But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts? Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk? But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house. And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that whereon he lay, and departed to his own house, glorifying God.

IDOLATRY & ME?
Deuteronomy 7:1-9 "When God, your God, brings you into the country that you are about to enter and take over, he will clear out the superpowers that were there before you…all bigger and stronger than you are. God, your God, will turn them over to you and you will conquer them. You must completely destroy them, Offering them up as a holy destruction to God. Don’t make a treaty with them. Don’t let them off in any way. (Show no mercy to them!) … before you know it they’d involve you in worshiping their gods…Here’s what you are to do: Tear apart their altars stone by stone, smash their phallic pillars, chop down their sex-and-religion Asherah groves, set fire to their carved god-images. Do this because you are a people set apart as holy to God, your God. God, your God, chose you out of all the people on Earth for himself as a cherished, personal treasure. God wasn’t attracted to you and didn’t choose you because you were big and Important—the fact is, there was almost nothing to you. He did it out of sheer love, keeping the promise he made to your ancestors. God stepped in and mightily bought you back out of that world of slavery, freed you from the iron grip of Pharaoh king of Egypt. Know this: God, your God, is God indeed, a God you can depend upon. He keeps his covenant of loyal love with those who love him and observe his commandments for a thousand generations.
Notice the final verse above...It states that God is able to keep His Promises with those "who love Him and observe (obey) His commandments." His commandment that is given in Deuteronomy Chapter 7 is simply this...
DO NOT ALLOW ANYTHING TO COME BEFORE YOU AND ME!
It's all about relationship with Him...Not Slavery but Love! In simple, easy to understand terms it means that God desires you to flourish in a totally committed relationship with Him! You were designed for relationship, fellowship, intimacy, and empowerment, with a constant walk with Him.Now we can understand why He doesn't want anything (idols) to come between you and Him, because it can sever our relationship with God. Deuteronomy 5:9 "You must not bow down to them (idols), nor serve them: for I the LORD your God am a jealous God..." He is jealous because He wants your affections and He desires for you to prosper!
New testament states the same principle...Mt 6:33 "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." In other words, Put relationship with God first....then everything else will be taken care of!
OFTENTIMES WHAT HINDERS OUR RECEIVING FROM GOD ARE THE IDOLS IN OUR LIVES...
AN IDOL IS ANY WORTHLESS THING WHICH WE CHOOSE OVER RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD
How do we Destroy the idols in our lives?
1) Ask God to Reveal anything which has taken priority over your relationship with God. Verse 2 says that God will turn them over to you! He identifies them specifically by name. Ask the Holy Spirit to identify the idols (Ites) in your life.
REMEMBER:
A)BE HONEST WITH GOD
B) LET GOD BE HONEST WITH YOU!
2) You Must Completely destroy Them! Realize it’s All or Nothing! Re 3:16 “So then because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of my mouth.”
3) Don’t make a Treaty with Them. They are not your friends. The thief uses them to “steal, kill and destroy” John 10:10 Ex 23: 32 “Thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor with their gods. 33 They shall not dwell in thy land, lest they make thee sin against me: for if thou serve their gods, it will surely be a snare unto thee.” They seek only to entrap you into the Arm of the Flesh. Even good things, ministry, people, etc., can be used to take our focus off of God.
4) Show no Mercy to Them! Leave no trace of that idol. Cut it off! Kill it. Wipe it out of existence! Matthew 6:33 says to “Put God and His Kingdom first in our lives and everything else will be taken care of.” ANYTHING WHICH ATTEMPTS TO TAKE THE PLACE OF GOD IN OUR LIVES ONLY SERVES TO CUT US OFF FROM HIS HAND…IT’S A TRAP…DON’T BUY IT!
5) Get Violent in the Spirit! Mt 11:12 “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.” Tear them apart…Smash any semblance… chop down anything that desires to take root in your life… burn it to the ground and blow the ashes away!
6) Know that You are a “…CHERISHED, PERSONAL TREASURE…” OF GOD! Vs. 6
7) Make a Commitment that Nothing in Your Life will take Precedence over God! 2 Peter 1: 2 “Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 3 According as His divine power has given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue…that by these you might become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world…”.
8) Ask the Lord to give you the willpower and The Ability power to do what needs to be done. Php 2:13 “For it is God Who works in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.”
John 3: 6 “That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”
WHATEVER YOU MANUFACTURE YOU MUST MAINTAIN!
WHATEVER GOD MANUFACTURES; HE WILL MAINTAIN!
9) Partner up 1Co 12:21 “And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.” You are members of the Body of Christ. You CAN NOT do it ALONE!
Idols are very dangerous...they tend to draw our attention away from God; break our intimacy with Him; which in turn places us out of position to receive His best!
